Easy Low Chignon for Shoulder Length Hair

This is a sponsored campaign with Global Influence. All opinions are my own.

I've been growing out my hair for a year since I last cut it into a pixie cut last summer. Right now it's to my shoulders so I've been finally been able to start doing things with it again. And since it's so hot out right now, I've been trying to figure out nice ways to put it up. I'm not the ponytail type when I leave the house because it's just too plain. I also have a nice collection of barrettes too so while playing with it the other day, I decided to put it up in a chignon using one of my barrettes.

Step 1: Using a clear hair tie, put your hair in a low ponytail at the nape of your neck.
Step 2: Bring the ponytail up towards the top of your head and secure it with a barrette just above the crease, creating a small bun.
Step 3: Pull on the bun to make it look fuller. If you have shorter strands in the front, like bangs, straighten them.

My bangs are all growing out so I straightened them and they turned out great. Do you want to amp up your current hairstyle? TRESemmé invites you to amp up your VMA style with 5 red carpet worthy looks.
