Being Energy Efficient in the Fusion Energi

Our family usually takes a car trip once a month or more so when we do, we always love to use a hybrid. Hybrids help save so much gas and they really do help reduce your carbon footprint so when we were asked to review the 2014 Ford Fusion Energi, we had to see what it was all about.

There were many amazing features to the 2014 Ford Fusion Energi that we really fell in love with. One of them was actually the color of the model we got! This color was Ice Storm and it was such a beautiful shade of blue. My husband actually said that he wants his next car to be this color.

The 2014 Ford Fusion Energi is a plug in hybrid so that means you can plug it into a plug to charge it's battery. The plug for it comes in the trunk near where the battery is. It doesn't take long to charge the battery but it's best to do it overnight unless you're traveling and you can find a charging station near you. The place where you charge the battery is right by the driver's door.

The battery also helps charge itself with the regenerative braking as well which is a huge plus for me. I loved watching how much I charged the battery when I stepped on the brakes.

Another great feature was that the backseat had inflatable seat belts which made it super easy to plug the kids up. And there were also plugins in the backseat for the kids to charge or play their games. The car itself had a great smooth ride to it and it was able to take us over 500 miles on one tank of gas. The 2014 Ford Fusion Energi has a great fuel economy, especially when you have a full battery and a full tank of gas.

Out of all the hybrids that we have tested in the past years, this one is my favorite because you can charge the battery with electricity. That makes it so easy to charge it when you need it the most.

Overall this was an amazing car and I'm actually tempted to buy one myself.
