There's something to say about a woman who dresses modestly. I believe that if you're a lady, you should keep certain things hidden from public view. But dressing modestly can be tricky in today's world. Not many clothing stores offer modest selections to women and if they do, they can be pricey.
Recently, I collaborated with Cleo Madison, a modest woman's clothing store, to review one of their gorgeous dresses.
After looking through their selection, I fell in love with the Lydia Floral Dress. It had a very 1940's feel to it and had all the modesty characteristics that I usually look for.
The Lydia Floral Dress is long sleeved and has a great high neckline. It goes a bit past the knee and is a fit and flare type dress. But the best part is that it has pockets! I love pockets on a great dress so much so I was thrilled that the Lydia Floral Dress had some!
The Lydia Floral Dress is a navy blue color with a gorgeous vintage looking floral pattern on it. When I received it, I also noticed just how soft it is as well. In my opinion, it had a velvety feel to it but it wasn't hot at all to wear, even in the summer. It's extremely comfortable and lightweight, even for the hot weather we've been having too.
For my tichel, I paired it with the Can't Catch Me scarf and Showstopper Clip from Wrapunzel. The colors all came together for this look and I was very pleased with the end result.
I really enjoyed this old 1940's Hollywood themed photoshoot for this outfit. I think it captured the romantic side of this dress perfectly!
