This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and TurboTax, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #TurboTaxACA http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
It's that time of the year again - tax time. Like most people, when I was getting a refund, I was excited to file taxes. I had all my papers ready in December! But now that I pay in yearly, I don't look forward to tax time very much anymore! And especially with the new ACA requirements. Since I always do my own taxes, I really wasn't sure what to expect. I honestly thought I was going to need to print out my health insurance bills to send in!
But with TurboTax, filing taxes has never been easier. I've been using TurboTax faithfully since 2008 and I've never had a problem. They make taxes easy for everyone and I couldn't be happier with their service. Just today I had a question and I was able to talk to a tax expert for free. What could be better?
For my situation, all I had to do was check a box on TurboTax that said my family had health insurance in 2014. It was that easy!
Plus now through the 16th, you can file your federal and state taxes for free if you have a simple tax return (1040A/EZ)! In all the years of using TurboTax, I have always had to pay for my federal taxes, even when I had a simple return. So this is something to really take advantage of!
Also this coming weekend is important – health insurance open enrollment ends on Sunday, February 15. This is the last chance you’ll have to purchase insurance to avoid a penalty on your taxes next year. You can check out TurboTaxHealth.com to learn more about your health insurance and taxes, including finding out if you’re exempt from the tax penalty. While you’re at it, don’t forget to go to TurboTax.com to file today for absolutely free before February 16 if you have a simple return (1040A/EZ).
