I have to admit that when my husband and I first got married and we had to review benefits together, we never really did it. He would always bring home a stack of papers and they always went to the same place - the top of the fridge. And that's usually where they stayed. Let me tell you right now, that's so bad to do! Don't do that at all! When you have the chance, you NEED to read about your benefits.

The first time I actually read my benefits was back a few years  ago. And I was completely overwhelmed by all the information. So I ended up talking with an insurance consultant so I could understand everything correctly. And after taking about three days to go through everything, I finally had a grip on it all.
