What Do You Think the #WorldsToughestJob Is? #ad @cardstore

What do you personally think the world's toughest job is? Before I grew up, I thought it would be pretty tough to be a construction worker. Mostly because they are out in the hot sun all day and they barely get any breaks at all. Plus they have to use their muscles all day long.

But I only thought this up until I gave birth to Mary...

When I was pregnant, I think I was in a surreal state of mind. Life was so perfect, I was going to have a little sweet baby that would love me forever, and I couldn't wait to see her.

Stop and hold the phone! No one told me motherhood would be like this!

Ok, so Mary isn't that bad every single day but after giving birth I finally realized why moms are so tired all the time! We are never doing anything for ourselves. It's all for our families. And my mom was the same way. She always complained about having holes in her clothes because she spent money on mine. And that's just what I find myself doing for Mary.

Of course when Mary was first born, it was tough. I am a pretty heavy sleeper and I don't do well without sleep, so when she was waking up every two hours to be fed, I was a grumpy person. But silly me had a thought one day. It can only get easier right? WRONG! Just because she sleeps through the night now doesn't mean life has gotten easier. Now she is so fast I can barely keep up!

So in a few words, yes, I think motherhood is the toughest job in the world. You work hard daily without any pay and sometimes without a thank you. But motherhood is also a wonderful gift too and I treasure my family dearly.

Since being a mother is the toughest job in the world, I wanted to do something special for my own mom this year. So for Mother's Day, I am treating her to a nice lunch at a local tearoom. But along with lunch and her present, I wanted to make a special card for her that would be from Mary.

Thanks to Cardstore I was able to make a card for my mom from Mary in minutes. The entire process was completely simple. All I had to do was pick the card I liked and upload my photos.
