The Color in Motion 5k will be reeling through Atlanta to throw a crazy colorful 5k race the morning of November 16, 2013. Registration is open and for the month of September, registrants who sign up for the race using the code ARMHC30 will receive 30% off their registration fee!
Runners in this kaleidoscopic event will run, jog, waltz, and sashay their way through A-Town. Starting in white (be it a tee shirt and shorts, football jerseys, or ball gowns), participants gradually transform into a moving Technicolor blur as they get color blasted at stations located at every kilometer mark of the run. The race is not timed or limited to just athletes—everyone of every age and level of fitness is invited to be active, social, and have a great time painting the town.
At the end of the race, participants can attend the “Color Bash” post-race party with music, dancing, and one last color blast.
Color in Motion 5K is a fun run for everyone! Participants do not need to be avid runners. This race isn’t timed, so runners have the opportunity to run, walk or leisurely stroll through the course with friends while being plastered in vibrant colors!
Color in Motion 5k is not an event limited to the Atlanta area, it’s happening all over the country, and at every location it teams up with a local charity to raise both funds and awareness. For the race in the Big Peach, Color in Motion 5k is working with Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities. The Color in Motion 5k looks forward to color blasting Atlanta while supporting the nearly 2,000 families who will call one of Atlanta’s two Houses home this year.
Throughout the world, there are 329 Ronald McDonald Houses. This number continues to grow each year, as RMHC programs can be found in 78% of the world’s best children’s hospitals.
