Costume Ideas for a Renaissance Festival

The Georgia Renaissance Festival is coming up from April 15th through June 4th and this year I will be attending! I can't wait to make a costume and have it all put together for an amazing day of photos and fun!

If you've never been to a Renaissance Festival, it is a re-creation of a 16th Century English Village, complete with artisans, food, entertainers and music of the time. You can meet and interact with unique characters and historical figures from the Renaissance period, participate in fun and educational workshops, see artisan demonstrations, and learn what life was like during the 1500s. It's fun not just for people who love to dress up like me, but for the entire family as well! Our whole family will be going because it's a great learning experience as well!

In the spirit of the Renaissance Festival, I wanted to make a collage of some of my costume ideas I had in mind.

All of these gorgeous costumes are available on Etsy too! Here were my personal top 3 Etsy stores for Renaissance costumes for women.

All 3 of these lovely shops are based in the Ukraine and they make amazing costumes that are period specific. The costumes are very in depth and after searching on Etsy, they turned out to be my favorite 3 shops because of the quality and craftsmanship.

Make sure to follow along because I will be posting about my costume when it's finished and also my photoshoot at the festival!
