If your dog is anything like mine, he is probably a picky eater. I have two dogs actually and they are both like night and day from each other. Roo is a Taco Terrier and he is a very picky eater. He ponders over his food, goes in circles and takes him time eating. Kanga, our Alusky, is completely opposite of Roo. She gobbles down her food in a matter of seconds and pretty much will eat anything in front of her. She has even eaten banana peels.
When you have two very different dogs, sometimes it's hard to find them food or treats that will both enjoy. I've had that problem many times with Roo and Kanga. If I find something one likes, the other won't.
Last week when I was in Walmart, I happened across a treat for dogs that I hadn't ever tried. It's called Nudges® Dog Treats and not only did they look great, they were also made in the USA! These surely looked like wholesome dog treats too because they're made with real meat too. No artificial fillers or flavors either.
I decided to try out the Nudges® Grillers in the steak flavor. So I put a bag in the buggy and headed on home.
When I got home, of course Kanga was happy. She scarfed hers down before I could get a picture. But Roo was the true test to see if he would eat them. When I pulled them out of the bag, I noticed that they even looked grilled, with the grill marks and everything on them! And they looked like little strips of meat too. Overall I was very impressed. They certainly were human inspired dog treats.
Now it was time to see if Roo would be equally impressed. I pulled one of out of the bag and he started going wild. For the first time, it was hard to just get him to stay still. You can even see his little tongue trying to come out of his mouth in the picture!
It didn't take but a few seconds before he took his treat and ran off to eat it. And it's been like that all week too. Ever since I bought the bag, they have been going crazy for them. I think I've found a new wholesome dog treat for them that won't break the bank and is healthy too!
