A Few Gift Ideas for Valentine's Day

I am a Life is a Special Occasion Blogger. All opinions are my own.

Can you believe that it's already February? And everyone knows that February is the month of love. When February comes around, I always try to remember sweet memories of my husband and I when we found out we were pregnant. Way back in 2007, we found out we were pregnant with Mary. And it was right around Valentine's Day too. So she was my first Valentine's Day present from my husband!

Obviously nothing can really compare with finding out you're finally going to have a baby after trying, but for those of you who are still looking for Valentine's Day gifts, here are a few from Hallmark that are too cute to pass up.

Penny Paperheart would be a great gift for any daddy wanting to give something fun to his daughter. Penny Paperheart is a cute play set that any little girl would love to get from her daddy. I have very sweet memories of getting presents from my dad on Valentine's Day. He always give me something, even as a teenager.

And for anyone who loves a good laugh, be sure to check out the Hug Lovin Hippo Plush. I can almost guarantee that you will laugh when you hear what she sings!

And if buying something really isn't your thing, then check out this great tutorial on making a Valentine's wreath using Hallmark cards.

Materials:
Hallmark cards
Scissors
Glue
Ribbon

Directions:
Cut a a few Hallmark cards into 1-inch-wide strips. Make five hearts as follows: fold a paper strip in half, sandwiching two glue dots about an inch down from the fold to create the top of the heart. Bend the loose ends away from the center and use two more dots to join them at the point. Next, make the two hearts that anchor the hanging ribbon. Sandwich one end of a 12-inch-long ribbon in the center fold of one heart, then form the heart’s point. Secure the other end of the ribbon in a second heart. Use glue dots to adhere the sides of the seven hearts in a circle.

Who do you think of on Valentine's Day? I always think of my husband because he is the one who really made me realize what love was. After everything we have been through together, I wouldn't know what to do without him. He's my best friend and every day with him is special.

What makes Valentine's Day special to you?
