With back-to-school season already here, parents nationwide are beginning the search for not only supplies and a new wardrobe, but the most challenging thing of all: a great-tasting and wholesome lunch their kids will actually eat and enjoy! And it's no different for home-schoolers either! For lunch break I always want to make something for Mary that she will enjoy so she's eager to get back to her studies. But we don't usually do a lot of sandwiches because of the preservatives in lunchmeats. So we were very interested to try out the new Hillshire Farm Naturals line of lunchmeat at Walmart right now!



Hillshire Farm Naturals™ new premium line of lunchmeat contains no artificial ingredients, preservatives or colors and no added nitrites/nitrates except those occurring naturally in celery juice. The line features four varieties including: Slow Roasted Turkey Breast, Hardwood Smoked Turkey Breast, Honey Roasted Ham, and Black Forest Ham. Plus the products are packaged in double-sealed, re-sealable tubs that lock in freshness and great taste.



 The new naturals line was easy to find in Walmart too. It was right in the deli meat section. All you have to do is look for the black lids!

After we found them, we took them home and made some delicious pinwheels with them!


To make them, all you need are tortillas, lettuce, cheese and Hillshire Farm Naturals in your choice of flavor. We ended up using the Slow Roasted Turkey for these! Just put your items instead an open tortilla and then fold up. While it's folded, cut in little rolls!

Overall this was a fun and easy lunch for Mary for home-school, plus I love that it was healthy for her! I'm very impressed with the new line and will be buying it often!
