Last weekend we were able to check out the new 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk 4x4 on our family trip to Gatlinburg. This beautiful SUV was a wonderful edition to our trip and it was a very comfortable ride!
The Trailhawk thoroughly impressed our entire family. Some of our favorite features were the Keyless entry, the touchscreen navigation and the wireless charging pad. The navigation was amazing; it was accurate right on the dot which is hard to get. And the wireless charging pad was a lifesaver when my phone died during the middle of the day.
We also loved that the Trailhawk came with a first aid kit in the back cargo area. Along with the kit, on the rear view mirror, there was even a button to push for 911! It's a feature that needs to be in all cars now.
The all new Trailhawk also had a dual sunroof as well that kids are sure to love. The view from the backseat is gorgeous and kids can look out without having the wind blow right in the face too.
Another impressive feature was the nine speed transmission which gave us 31 MPG on the highway. For our entire trip of 400 miles, we only had to put an extra $10 in to get back home which was very impressive.
Also the Trailhawk is equipped with Selec-Terrain which lets you pick what kind of terrain you're driving on. Your choices are Snow, Sport, Sand, Mud, and Rock. I really loved this feature because climbing up some steep mountains we were able to put it in Rock and immediately you could feel a difference.
And if you're looking for a safe car, look no further than the Trailhawk. It has over 70 available Safety & Security features including: new Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist, ParkSense front / rear Park Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) and Cross Path Detection with dual radar sensors to monitor driver blind spots, standard 10 airbags with standard full-length side-curtain & side thorax airbags, new LaneSense Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning and new Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go.
Overall the Trailhawk is an amazing vehicle and we were very impressed with it. Every feature was perfect and I would buy it hands down.
The model color shown in our review vehicle was Deep Cherry Red. The Trailhawk starts at $29,495.
