Variety is the Spice of Life with Hickory Farms #HickoryTradition

Compensation and products for review were provided by Hickory Farms via MomTrends. I received a free sample of the product for the purpose of this review and to facilitate a giveaway. The opinions expressed herein are those of the author and are not indicative of the opinions of Hickory Farms.

My mom always told me that variety is the spice of life and she sure was right. My mom was a Hickory Farms lover and they offer a variety of specialty foods and holiday food gifts that are perfect for any budget and for everyone on your list this year. Some people are leery about giving food as gifts, but with Hickory Farms you don't have to worry. Quality, freshness and value are key traits of Hickory Farms’ holiday treats and gifts. For more than 60 years Hickory Farms has been providing holiday shoppers with options that not only present beautifully, but also taste delicious. I can remember going to the Hickory Farms store in the mall with my parents back when I was a toddler!

One of the things my mom always raved about was the Hickory Farms Summer Sausage. She said it was her favorite and would always make a point to getting it every year. So it doesn't surprise me that it was recently rated the #1 Summer Sausage in America, winning the Masters of Taste Gold Medal for Superior Taste, in 2011.

This year Hickory Farms just introduced a host of delicious new artisanal products: Hickory Farms Reserve. The collection will feature their premium Dry Aged Salami and eight (8) all-natural cheeses handcrafted by award-winning masters. (Cheddar Flight with Salami is part of the Reserve brand) The Hickory Farms Reserve collection is available in select stores, from the catalogue and online at HickoryFarms.com and it would make a perfect gift for anyone on your list.

Another great reason our family loves Hickory Farms is that they partner with Share Our Strength (SOS) – a leading national nonprofit organization that works to stamp out childhood hunger. For each Party Planner gift box sold this holiday season, Hickory Farms will donate $5 to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign. To date Hickory Farms and its customers have donated $1.9 million!

Hickory Farms also has eight products that offer free shipping to military APO and FPO addresses, including the “Home for the Holidays” gift basket and “Beef Hearty Hickory” basket. So they are military friendly too! I just love seeing companies that give back to the people who matter the most and with Hickory Farms, they aren't just a family tradition to us. They are a way to help others too.

So if you're still looking for the perfect gift, give Hickory Farms this year and make it a day to remember!

  10. My mom used to get their summer sausage every Christmas. It was so good, and one of the best food gifts we ever received. I haven't had them in years, but I see that our mall has a pop up kiosk for the holidays. I should make a run there and pick up some sausage and cheese.
