Just as your kids were getting back into the regular routine, here comes the end of daylight savings time! Although the early arrival of darkness due to the time change on November 4 can often help in getting children to settle into healthy sleep-time routines, there may still be some transition time required. That’s where The Pajanimals can help.

Mary is one of the crankiest kids to try to get to relax and go to sleep. Even with her being five years old, she hates bedtime. Sometimes she'll even be so stubborn to just lie in bed and wait until everyone is asleep. And since I work on blogging at night, sometimes I'll catch her still up in the wee morning hours.  So that's when I introduced Pajanimals into the house at night. Even though it's meant for younger children, I hoped that it would help Mary get into a bedtime routine.

The first thing we did was get the DVD and the blanket. While she watched the first DVD before bed one night, she even asked for the blanket so she could fall asleep. With that, I was very impressed. Ever since then, she's loved the Pajanimals.

Pajanimals features four loveable puppets -- Cowbella, Apollo, Sweetpea Sue and Squacky -- that have become so popular with children and parents alike, their own television series airs nightly on 24-hour preschool television channel Sprout ® during it’s The Good Night Show and now also airs on NBC on Saturday mornings as part of the NBC Kids programming block. The series follows this adorable quartet as they take young viewers on exciting imaginary adventures. With music and new friends in every story, Pajanimals teaches the skills that preschoolers need to move through their days successfully, especially getting ready for and going to bed.

With a suggested retail price of $29.99, the Pajanimals’ Snuggle Up Story Mat is a wonderful way to help your child transition from playtime to nap time. Featuring all of your favorite, lovable Pajanimals characters, this mat includes a soft book that can be read to your child, which also transforms into a pillow.
