Two months ago we shared that we adopted a new puppy for Mary. After all, since I have lots of birds, it wasn't fair that she didn't have a pet of her own. And she's been loving small dogs for a long time now. So one night we decided to let her go pick one of her own.

And that's pretty much how we ended up with Charlie. But bringing him home was no easy task. First off, he decided that my birds were good looking chew toys. He even plucked the feathers out of one's rear! And then there was the issue that he still wasn't potty trained. But one that really bothered me was that he hated his food. The food that he had been given smelled awful and he wouldn't even go near it when I would give it to him. But I knew it wasn't because he wasn't hungry because I would give him wet food and he would gobble it all up. So after lots of research, I decided to switch his dog food.

Charlie was also getting vitamins daily but he was constantly throwing up too. We noticed he had a very fragile stomach so the food we ended up choosing for him was Nutrience Grain Free. Grain free food is a great way to go for many dogs because lots of dogs are prone to grain allergies just like humans. So I decided it was better to be safe than sorry. Many people don't realize that animals can get horrible allergies just like humans. My dog growing up ended up getting a terrible allergy to grass and would break out in a rash every time he went outside!

We weren't sure what to expect when we first introduced Charlie to Nutrience but he went at it pretty quick! I really like Nutrience for him because it's full of fruits, vegetables and botanicals harvested at their peak combined with top of the line meat and fish proteins. Plus they have the "No Bad Anything" promise which makes me know that he's getting food that is truly good for him.

Nutrience food is now available on Amazon.com so I know I'll be ordering it often.
