America's Angriest Trainer - Vinnie Tortorich

I'm not going to deny it - I am a totally lazy person when it comes to exercising. Ever since I was young, I was always naturally skinny and could burn 1,000 calories just by sneezing. And I was never really a person who wanted to sweat at all. Sweating to me just isn't something a girl should do so I avoided it at all costs.

But then something dramatic happened in my life...

I had a daughter and my entire body went haywire. I mean, I wasn't healthy enough to have children but I had one anyways so for the rest of my life my body will be all messed up. Not like overweight issues, just health issues that will never go away and that I never had before.

So now that I have health problems, it's hard for me to do a lot of things, like even bend to certain positions! And I'm sure there are a lot of other women who can completely understand this. And when I feel like trying to exercise, the most that happens is me sitting down and watching tv. So as you can see, I am totally lazy. But I don't want to be. I want to be able to run up the steps without getting out of breath. I want to fly my daughter's kite without having to stop for a minute because my legs hurt. Seriously, I am only 25 years old but my health is pretty bad. So I've been trying to find a book that would help me have motivation to make myself feel better, but most of the books out there tell you empty promises. And I don't have time for that at all.

Recently I was able to come across Fitness Confidential, a book written by Vinnie Tortorich, America's Angriest Trainer. And he is angry because people don't have to feel sick, or have bad backs or even not keep the weight off. He's here to show you just how to do it and not have to crawl back to the weight loss industry over and over again for help. And that's just what I need!

Along with his book, he also has free podcasts that you can listen to anytime to help you keep motivated too. Like maybe when you're out walking and smell that great pizza stand a little ways over?

I really like Fitness Confidential because Vinnie tells it like it is. He doesn't try to BS you with empty promises. And he tells you just what you need to do to feel better and get healthy along with making you laugh during the process.

If you want to really learn how to keep the weight off and get in shape, then you need to check out Vinnie's book, Fitness Confidential. It's totally worth the read. And make sure to check out his main site, Vinnie Tortorich for more about him and his tips.

  6. Like you I have always been naturally skinny but my last pregnancy set off high blood pressure in me that I am still fighting 3 years later. In an effort to maintain my BP without medicine I have decided to start exercising. I am definitely going to check him out. I don't need anything to strenuous but I do need to get moving to be healthy.

  8. I didn't know you were 25! I am 22 and am also the laziest person ever. I am like you, pre-child, generally naturally skinny enough that I don't watch what I eat closely enough and never exercise. I know it'll catch up to me someday though:(!

  10. I love the fact that he includes free podcasts along with the book. That's something that hardly anyone does that more authors NEED to do, especially in the diet/fitness category :)

  16. It seems that this trainer may have a no nonsense approach that may work for some. It will be interesting to see the results he gets with real people.
