Our Weekend Croods Party #TheCroodsDVD
This weekend, we were able to have a very fun Croods party! It was actually a surprise for Mary so when she came out of her bedroom to see the house decorated, she was so excited!
For each guest, we had lovely party packs that included games, paints, Croods toys, blankets, puzzles, and popcorn!
I also ended up making Sky's the Limit Punch that was inspired by the Croods always reaching for the sun. It's a very simple recipe and everyone really liked it!
1 package blue, berry flavored unsweetened drink mix
1 bottle lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
1 bottle white cranberry juice
8 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 cup white sugar, or to taste
In a large punch bowl, stir together the drink mix, lemon-lime soda, and white cranberry juice. Taste, and stir in sugar to your liking. (I like to add the whole cup.) Float scoops of ice cream on the top. The ice cream melts somewhat and turns the punch a beautiful baby blue color with frothy white clouds floating on the top.
I ended up making an activity center for the kids too since I know when I was little, I loved an activity center with lots of stuff to play with! This was a huge hit!
Cups of popcorn were made for the big event and then it was time to start the movie! I had the activity center in front of the tv so everyone could do their own thing while watching the movie. This works best for some kids who can't sit still through an entire movie too.
One of the activities was to paint cave paintings! This was so much fun! Everyone got really creative on it too!
Even adults ended up joining in on the fun! Who can resist puzzles and a movie?
I also ended up making Dino Burgers as a meal too for everyone. The kids loved them, but don't tell them they were just cheeseburgers!
If you couldn't tell, the masks were a huge hit too! We loved switching them around and having some fun with them!
Here was one of the finished Cave Paintings. I think it came out pretty good! Overall the party was a lot of fun and saying goodbye was the hardest part. Hopefully we'll have another party at our house soon!
