The 2013 Mazda Mazda3 SKYACTIV

For the past week, I've been driving around in style in the new and flashy 2013 Mazda Mazda3 SKYACTIV! And from the time it came to my driveway, I was completely impressed.

For being a 4 door sedan, the Mazda Mazda3 SKYACTIV had plenty of room inside. Everyone was very comfortable on all our trips we took in it.  Something else I really liked was in the backseat, there are little tabs that turn red if the backseat isn't pushed back all the way in the locked position. That's a huge safety concern alleviated!

With the Mazda Mazda3 SKYACTIV, you have plenty of trunk space as well. I was able to carry a bunch of groceries and if I needed to, the backseats can fold down for more room as well.

The Mazda Mazda3 SKYACTIV had some amazing features including the GPS system, Sirius Radio, Pandora, Bluetooth and built in USB that was in the on screen dashboard. It was all very easy to setup and the Bluetooth actually had a built in microphone near the top of the car. Along the top of the dashboard, you had another set of screens that told you your average fuel economy and average speed as well. The on screen dashboard also had a setting where you couldn't use it while the car was in drive for safety reasons. Mazda really went all out with their safety designs for this car.

Another great feature on the Mazda Mazda3 SKYACTIV is that it has blind spot monitoring which means that the side mirrors light up when a car is too close to you for you to get in the next lane. If you put your blinkers on and a car is too close, the car will beep to let you know it's not safe to pass. I really loved this feature because sometimes you just can't see if a car is too close and this made me feel very safe.

Inside the car, you had more features I really enjoyed like the sunroof. It didn't automatically close because of safety reasons so you had to manually hold the button down to shut it. And since I've actually gotten my hand caught in a window before, this was a great feature. Along with the engine on and off button and the built in USB plug in the front, you could use your computer right from the car which was very nice.

The outside of the  Mazda Mazda3 SKYACTIV was just as stylish and sleek as the inside! The color really sparkled in the sunlight too! And the body design was very wind resistant. Since this model was SKYACTIV, it also did AMAZING on gas. I got close to 500 miles on one tank of gas!

The headlights on the Mazda Mazda3 SKYACTIV also follow the direction of where you're turning so if you watch them, you'll see them move with the car which is great for extra dark nights. Every aspect of the Mazda Mazda3 SKYACTIV has been a thrill and I was amazed at all the safety features this sedan had. Our entire family completely fell in love with it over this past week and we can't wait to drive a Mazda again!

If you're looking for a safe family car, then I implore you to check out the Mazda Mazda3 SKYACTIV. And since it's starts at $16,700, you can't beat that. My particular model was priced at $26,000 but that's still affordable for all the features you get.
